The TelcoBridges TSBC-HW-TRANS is a carrier-grade hardware platform to transcode sessions processed by the ProSBC session border controller. Supporting up to 2,744 transcoding sessions per enclosure, multiple TSBCHW-TRANS units can be stacked to reach a total of 30,000 transcoding sessions with a single instance of ProSBC. Each unit is managed independently by the ProSBC and does not require a public IP address to any VoIP peers connected to the SBC on the WAN/LAN networks. The unit also allows for voice services such as prompt playback, call progress tones and call recording to be inserted into a session’s call flow.

Description

The TelcoBridges Tsig Signaling Gateway transfers signaling messages between Common Channel Signaling nodes (CCS) and/or between Signaling Transfer Points (STP). The Tsig signaling gateway performs packet level translation from SS7 signaling to SIGTRAN signaling.

It is capable of scaling from 1x SS7 signaling link to 64x SS7 signaling links in a single unit. It can be deployed fully redundant (1+1) providing high availability (HA) of over 99.999% availability.

What is a Signaling Gateway or a SIGTRAN Gateway?

A signaling gateway is a network component responsible for transmitting the information related to call establishment, billing, location, short messages, address conversion, and other services.

The signaling gateway function can also be included within the larger operational domain of a Signal Transfer Point (STP). Some units like the TelcoBridges Tsig Signaling gateway can function either without the use of a softswitch, or with a softswitch communicating using MEGACO or H.248.

Protocol conversion gateways can also convert from one network operational paradigm to another , such as, SIP to ISUP for call control, SIP to TCAP for address translation, or SIP to MAP for location or presence.

Unlike a network-monitoring probe, the Tmonitor TM3000 does not affect the performance of the network or the status of a call, or introduce unwanted data artifacts. Unlike a software-based solution, the TM3000 does not negatively impact the overall performance of the network. Finally, the TM3000 is designed to work seamlessly across networks comprised of hardware from multiple telecom equipment manufacturers, capturing all relevant and required data and providing a truly complete picture of the network’s operations and the location and status of subscribers, in support of E911 and other real-time LBS efforts.

Features & Benefits

Monitoring applications. The Tmonitor TM3000 allows system integrators to build systems to record and analyze voice messages, generate and verify call detail records (CDR) and many others. It also allows services providers to perform fraud detection, lawful interception, and location-based billing.

Carrier-grade performance. The Tmonitor TM3000 is a high volume monitoring solution, with voice recording capacity, while meeting the capacity challenges of OC3/STM-1 connectivity. Multiple TM3000 devices and application servers can be clustered together in one or more facilities to provide essentially unlimited scalability. Application servers can also be deployed remotely for fully distributed monitoring.

Network monitoring flexibility. The Tmonitor TM3000 allows service providers to process and analyze all data captured in SS7, ISDN and HDLC packets and raw OC3/STM-1 traffic, as well as record up to 512 simultaneous channels of voice traffic. It features highly configurable on-board packet filters so that only relevant information is captured from traffic streams and stored by the system application.

Non-intrusive. In order to maintain overall system performance and QoS, the TM3000 does not introduce latency or otherwise modify or alter the stream of communications. The TM3000 fully supports multi-vendor network architectures and requires no modification to existing communications equipment. The TM3000 also features ZeroLinkDown functionality, enabling full system maintenance, including device replacement, without interrupting the communications network.
