TelcoBridges Addresses Entry Level Media Gateway Requirements With the Release of the New Tmedia TMG800

New Offering Brings Carrier-Grade Features to Low Density Media Gateways For Service Providers That Deliver Hosted Services or Support Remote Locations

Miami, Florida (ITEXPO), February 2, 2009 – TelcoBridges™ Inc., the preferred hardware and software supplier for telecom system integrators and solution developers, today announced the Tmedia TMG800tm.  TelcoBridges’ newest media gateway brings the company’s renowned carrier-grade features to service providers with lower-density requirements, like supporting remote locations, or delivering hosted services.

The TelcoBridges Tmedia TMG800 is an extensible media gateway that meets the needs of service providers, system integrators and solution developers looking to cost-effectively expand the edge of their network footprint, or quickly deploy value-added services.  The TMG800 provides capacity from 1 to a maximum of 8 T1/E1/J1 interfaces (up to 256 universal VoIP channels).  As service uptake increases, the capabilities of the 1U form factor TMG800 can be extended with expansion cards for VOIP and software license upgrades for each additional T1/E1/J1 port.

Similar in design to the award winning TelcoBridges TMG3200™ Media Gateway, the lightweight TMG800 version is competitively priced and targeted towards low-to-medium density locations where economies of scale do not warrant larger configurations.

With IVR, signaling and media support for SIP, SS7, and ISDN networks, the Tmedia TMG800 routes and bridges PSTN and SIP-based calls seamlessly, providing any-to-any switching.  It is easy to install and configure for the introduction of new telephony services, including differentiating services such as SIP trunking, transcoding, VoIP peering and hosted services for FAX and IP-PBX.  Complete with the Toolpacktm OAM web-based GUI for simple configurations, the Tmedia TMG800 features an on-board Linux CPU to run custom applications, thus eliminating the need for an additional external host or other devices.

“We’ve designed the TMG800 Media Gateway to bring carrier-grade quality to a price point associated with lower density products,” said Gaetan Campeau, President and CEO of TelcoBridges.  “There is nothing else in the industry that can match the features, quality, flexibility and price point of the TMG800 in the lower density market.”
