Comprehensive Network Monitoring Capabilities Help Solutions Developers Incorporate Security Applications & Location Based Services into their Service Offerings

TelcoBridges Promotes Tmonitor TM1000 Real Time, High-Density Network Monitoring Solution

Barcelona, Spain – February 16, 2009 – Mobile World Congress:  TelcoBridges™ Inc., the preferred hardware and software supplier for telecom system integrators,  solution developers and service  providers, today is showcasing its  Tmonitor™ TM1000™, a real time monitoring solution that can detect, filter, capture and record all signaling and voice traffic crossing  T1/E1 links.  The  TM1000 provides solutions developers with all the raw data they need to develop next-generation security and LBS applications.

When used to monitor a mobile network, the Tmonitor TM1000 can capture the signalling information providing both the calling and called numbers.  It provides handset identification information, cell identification, as well as received signal strengths from neighbouring BTSes and sectors.   Operators use TelcoBridges’ monitoring capabilities for mobile network optimization, CDR generation and verification, fraud detection, location-based billing, local-search services, and to notify their subscribers of roaming via SMS.

The TM1000 is specifically designed to monitor, filter, record and analyze traffic on any network, whether mobile or fixed.  Operating at line rate on up to 64 T1/E1/J1 full-duplex links, all filters are highly customizable.  Unlike a network probe, the Tmonitor TM1000 uses non-intrusive devices to connect to the T1/E1/J1 links (the TM1000 is completely stealth), and does not affect the performance of the network or the status of a call, or introduce unwanted data artefacts.  Leveraging TelcoBridges’ power-efficient architecture, the Tmonitor TM1000 requires less than 50 watts of power, which is significantly less than any other network monitoring solution on the market.

TelcoBridges’ monitoring technology is highly customizable.  Because not every signaling message is relevant, the Tmonitor TM1000 features on-board packet filters, which search traffic streams to identify data – specified by the solution developer – that need to be captured.  The Tmonitor TM1000 performs the data capture and provides the data flow to an application server, which implements additional services.  This high volume monitoring system can scale beyond single system application platforms, and it can be deployed both locally and remotely.

“As Location-Based Services and security applications become pervasive on a global basis, our customers are asking for non-intrusive, real-time network monitoring solutions that can monitor traffic across any network,” states  Gaetan Campeau, president and CEO of TelcoBridges. “With up to 64 full-duplex T1/E1/J1 in a compact 1U form factor, the TM1000 can scale locally and remotely, to address network monitoring needs in any environment.”

To see the TM1000, and to learn more about how it is currently being deployed in various environments, visit TelcoBridges at the Mobile World Congress, in Stand # 2.1C58, in Hall 2.

TelcoBridges Addresses Entry Level Media Gateway Requirements With the Release of the New Tmedia TMG800

New Offering Brings Carrier-Grade Features to Low Density Media Gateways For Service Providers That Deliver Hosted Services or Support Remote Locations

Miami, Florida (ITEXPO), February 2, 2009 – TelcoBridges™ Inc., the preferred hardware and software supplier for telecom system integrators and solution developers, today announced the Tmedia TMG800tm.  TelcoBridges’ newest media gateway brings the company’s renowned carrier-grade features to service providers with lower-density requirements, like supporting remote locations, or delivering hosted services.

The TelcoBridges Tmedia TMG800 is an extensible media gateway that meets the needs of service providers, system integrators and solution developers looking to cost-effectively expand the edge of their network footprint, or quickly deploy value-added services.  The TMG800 provides capacity from 1 to a maximum of 8 T1/E1/J1 interfaces (up to 256 universal VoIP channels).  As service uptake increases, the capabilities of the 1U form factor TMG800 can be extended with expansion cards for VOIP and software license upgrades for each additional T1/E1/J1 port.

Similar in design to the award winning TelcoBridges TMG3200™ Media Gateway, the lightweight TMG800 version is competitively priced and targeted towards low-to-medium density locations where economies of scale do not warrant larger configurations.

With IVR, signaling and media support for SIP, SS7, and ISDN networks, the Tmedia TMG800 routes and bridges PSTN and SIP-based calls seamlessly, providing any-to-any switching.  It is easy to install and configure for the introduction of new telephony services, including differentiating services such as SIP trunking, transcoding, VoIP peering and hosted services for FAX and IP-PBX.  Complete with the Toolpacktm OAM web-based GUI for simple configurations, the Tmedia TMG800 features an on-board Linux CPU to run custom applications, thus eliminating the need for an additional external host or other devices.

“We’ve designed the TMG800 Media Gateway to bring carrier-grade quality to a price point associated with lower density products,” said Gaetan Campeau, President and CEO of TelcoBridges.  “There is nothing else in the industry that can match the features, quality, flexibility and price point of the TMG800 in the lower density market.”

“TDM-for-Free” Program launched at ITEXPO:

TelcoBridges’ Tmedia TMG3200 Wins Internet Telephony Magazine’s 2008 Product-of-the-Year Award

Montreal, Canada, January 12, 2009 – TelcoBridges™ Inc., the preferred hardware and software supplier for telecom system integrators and solution developers, today announced that Technology Marketing Corporation’s Internet Telephony Magazine has named TelcoBridges’ TmediaTM TMG3200TM a recipient  of its 2008 “Product-of-the-Year” Award. This represents the sixth overall industry award that TelcoBridges’ Tmedia product family has garnered since its introduction.

TelcoBridges’ Tmedia TMG3200 is the highest-density media gateway platform on the market, featuring up to: 2,048 universal VoIP channels; 64 T1/E1s; three DS3s; or one OC3/STM-1ports in a single 1U enclosure.

This “ready-to-deploy” platform requires minimal configuration, and helps system integrators and solution developers build and deploy solutions quickly and cost-effectively. Providing flexible support for SIP, SS7, ISDN signaling, and all associated media, the TMG3200 can route and bridge any call, from any network, to any other network in a seamless fashion, while generating the call detail records needed for billing.

Beyond density and flexibility, TelcoBridges’ Tmedia family is also setting new standards for performance, by bringing carrier-grade, “five 9s” reliability to the media gateway market. The Tmedia family features redundant power supplies, is field-upgradable, with in-service software upgrades, and it includes software that detects, isolates, and addresses faults by switching over to standby components in an automatic fashion. And with all of these performance breakthroughs, Tmedia remains – by a wide margin – the most power efficient media gateway on the market, requiring less than 0.06 watts of power per channel, which represents a 30% to 80% power savings over competitive media gateway offerings.

“With some of the largest and most sophisticated phone systems in the world running on our platform in more than 45 countries, our customers turn to TelcoBridges because we provide the performance, the flexibility and the reliability they need,” said Gaetan Campeau, President and CEO of TelcoBridges. “We’re proud of the numerous awards we’ve won, and of the performance benchmarks we’ve set – and we’re now looking forward in the year ahead to showing system integrators and solution providers just how competitive Tmedia is in the media gateway market.”

“TelcoBridges is well-known for a strong commitment to quality and excellence, and their technology effectively addresses real needs in the marketplace,” said Rich Tehrani, TMC President and Editor-in-Chief of INTERNET TELEPHONY Magazine. “As a result, we’re proud to once again honor TelcoBridges with a Product of the Year Award.”

To learn more about the Tmedia family of media gateway products, join TelcoBridges for a webinar on January 27th at 2:00 EST, or visit TelcoBridges at ITEXPO next month in Miami, in booth #915.
