TelcoBridges Introduces One-Click Fraud Call Removal

New Feature, Available via TB Analytics, Helps Service Providers Eliminate Fraudulent Calls, Stem Revenue Loss and Increase Network Availability

Montreal, Canada: November 29, 2017 – TelcoBridges, the leading designer and manufacturer of carrier-grade Tmedia VoIP gateways and the FreeSBC session border controller, today added a customer-requested feature to its portfolio, with the introduction of One-Click Fraud Call Removal. This new feature is available via TB Analytics for all Tmedia VoIP gateways and the FreeSBC. TB Analytics is TelcoBridges’ suite of diagnostic tools used to manage networks.

This new feature helps service providers eliminate fraudulent calls, stem revenue loss and increase network availability. It extends and improves the powerful TB Analytics “Call Trace” feature. Using the new One-Click Fraud Call Removal, service providers can easily search active calls based on route, called/calling number, or call duration (such as calls lasting several hours) to find a “fraudulent” call and drop it with a single click.

Unwanted calls can be removed automatically and manually. This feature also includes an API to automate fraud prevention in conjunction with systems offered by TelcoBridges’ partners. The call removal can be integrated with third party OSS/BSS systems via this API. The combination of these technologies detects and terminates fraudulent calls created by traffic pumping, PBX hacking, call transfer, call forwarding and more.

“Service providers around the globe lose billions of dollars each year in telecom-related fraud costs, so finding a better way of detecting and preventing fraud is a top priority,” said Gaetan Campeau, CEO of TelcoBridges. “Our One-Click Fraud Call Removal provides an out-of-the-box, realtime solution to eliminate this pain point while also helping to enhance a telecom service provider’s bottom line.”

TelcoBridges Helps Turk Telekom Ease the Transition from TDM to VoIP

New Deployment Illustrates Tmedia’s Ability to Seamlessly Address Complex SS7 Requirements

Montreal, Canada: March 14, 2017 – TelcoBridges, the leading designer and manufacturer of carrier-grade VoIP media gateways and session border controllers (SBC), today announced that Istanbul-based Eurotel has successfully completed a Turk Telekom interconnection involving several Turkish ISPs connected across 10 POPs using TelcoBridges’ Tmedia Gateways. This new deployment was assisted with the help of long time TelcoBridges partner and distributor Sintel Turkey.

Eurotel provides telecom service providers with an array of products and services including routing, billing, network security, as well as IVR, voicemail, number portability, and intelligent call forwarding, among other features. Eurotel’s software is built using Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) standards, to maximize network performance for small-to-large packet voice networks.

Turk Telekom, a provider of voice, internet and television services to residents and businesses throughout Turkey, operates a legacy network that required TDM-to-VoIP interconnection in order to support the VoIP services of the Turkish ISPs. The TelcoBridges’ Tmedia gateways provided the critical gateway interconnection management needed to bridge the network’s heterogeneous elements together, and to address the legacy network’s highly complex SS7 architecture that included signaling geo redundancy. Tmedia’s comprehensive support for M2UA and M3UA protocols helped to successfully transport SS7 signaling over IP, and back haul SS7 traffic to a centralized point on the network.

“Solution providers that are seeking access to incumbent service providers need a flexible media gateway that can address the technical challenges of complex SS7 deployments around the globe,” said Gaetan Campeau, CEO of TelcoBridges. “This latest deployment further illustrates Tmedia’s prowess in facilitating TDM to VoIP interconnections in the most flexible and cost effective manner possible.”

“Right from the outset, Sintel and TelcoBridges made things easy for us,” states Mete Gonenç, CTO of Eurotel. “TelcoBridges’ gateways are absolutely the best-in-class, and Sintel’s support has addressed all of our needs. There are more than 70 million potential telecom subscribers throughout Turkey, and we now have a superior offering that will enable us to expand in this marketplace.”

TelcoBridges and TransNexus Partner to Deliver VoIP Fraud Detection Solution for Wholesale Carriers

Integrated SBC and OSS Solution Provides Fraud Detection, Local Number Portability, Least-Cost Routing and Quality of Service Analysis for VoIP Carriers Worldwide

Montreal, Canada: February 8, 2017 – TelcoBridges, the leading designer and manufacturer of carrier-grade VoIP media gateways and session border controllers (SBC), today announced a systems integration partnership with TransNexus, a leading provider of Operations Support Systems (OSS).  The combination of both vendor’s technologies brings enhanced fraud detection capabilities, local number portability, least-cost routing, and a wide range of QoS analytics to VoIP carriers around the globe.

TransNexus’ NexOSS is a suite of integrated back office applications that provide VoIP least-cost routing (LCR), traffic reporting and fraud detection capabilities that can automatically suspend suspicious routes from the routing table.  NexOSS makes it easier for VoIP operators to provision call routes, establish call rates, monitor network traffic and produce billing reports.

TelcoBridges Tmedia Gateways and TransNexus’ NexOSS have been deployed and working together in carrier networks since 2010. The integration announced today combines the capabilities of TelcoBridges’ TSBC5000 Session Border Controller with TransNexus’ NexOSS on multiple levels:

  • SIP integration: Provides the ability to centralize call routing, route provisioning, rating and traffic reporting.  TelcoBridges’ SBC consults NexOSS on a call-by-call basis using SIP.
  • CDR integration: Allows NexOSS to generate real-time traffic reports and generate rated call detail records for billing purposes.  TelcoBridges’ SBC writes CDRs in real-time to NexOSS such that it can extract relevant information related to traffic volumes, QoS and revenue generation for the benefit of the wholesale carrier.
  • Fraud Detection: Automatically detects fraudulent calls, blocks them or diverts the calls to another destination in real-time.  NexOSS applies TransNexus’ SIP Analytics® technology to the call data provided by TelcoBridges’ SBC via SIP INVITE messages and real-time call detail records.  This combination detects fraudulent calls created by traffic pumping, PBX hacking, call transfer and call forwarding, and more.

“TransNexus’ NexOSS software working with TelcoBridges’ SBCs enables a full suite of business optimization functions for SIP trunking that create new revenue and reduce operating expenses.  Our combined technologies not only avoid fraud, but also benefit from dynamic least-cost and QoS routing, dynamic SIP federation peering and jurisdictional call routing, to name a few,” said Gaetan Campeau CEO of TelcoBridges.  “The integration we’ve announced today provides an out-of-the-box solution for VoIP service providers anywhere around the globe.”

“The combination of our technologies provides a solution that is ideal for VoIP wholesale carriers,” said Jim Dalton, Founder and CEO of TransNexus.  “Not only does it provide more control and visibility into a service provider’s network in terms of security, quality of service and profitability, but it also detects fraud!”

New TelcoBridges TSBC5000 Session Border Controller Supports up to 5,000 Concurrent SIP Sessions

New Higher Capacity Tsbc Reinforces TelcoBridges’ Continuous Commitment to Deliver Market Leading Products

Montreal, Canada: December 7, 2016 – TelcoBridges today announced that it has increased the capacity of its Tsbc Session Border Controller by more than 60-percent, now enabling it to support up to 5,000 concurrent SIP sessions. This enhancement enables service providers to expand their range of applications while making it easier to facilitate VoIP-based network interconnections with other carriers.

TelcoBridges’ Tsbc integrates the industry’s most advanced call routing capabilities. Traditional SBC routing routes calls based on criteria that include called number, domain, and other basic call parameters. But TelcoBridges’ routing is not just based on routing tables, but rather scripts that fine tune each route to specific needs. Service providers can determine routing criteria based on IP trunk groups, prefix, time range, least cost route, route quality, or almost any other criteria that suits their business needs. The Tsbc’s Class 4 routing engine can also query external resources and databases to complement its own capabilities to make optimal routing decisions.

Since its release earlier this summer, Tsbc Session Border Controllers (which initially supported 3,000 concurrent SIP sessions) have been successfully deployed in the Americas, Europe and Asia to help service providers and wholesale carriers interconnect with other carriers using SIP. In total, TelcoBridges’ media gateways, session border controllers, and new media gateway Hybrid SBCs have been deployed in carrier networks in more than 100 countries.

The Tsbc enables high performance SIP-to-SIP sessions (B2BUA); transcoding; header manipulation with access to the full SIP header; and its unmatched call routing capabilities facilitate the implementation of any routing scheme. The Tsbc’s comprehensive management tools simplify configuration, monitoring and provisioning. The Tsbc’s machine-to-machine interface provides integration with operations support systems (OSS), and the Tsbc features an array of security features that protect network infrastructure from DoS and Distributed Denial of Service attacks (DDoS).

“The enhancements we’ve announced today are just the next step in a process designed to rapidly and continually improve our products and maximize value for our customers,” said Richard Gendron, CEO of TelcoBridges. “Our market-leading media gateway and SBC combination helps service providers accelerate deployments, streamline network operations, bolster network security, and increase revenue due to our extensive and flexible call routing features.”

The newly enhanced TelcoBridges Tsbc is available immediately. For more information, contact TelcoBridges at 450 655 8993 x133 or info@telcobridges.com.
