TelcoBridges Announces Microsoft Teams Direct Routing Support with ProSBC
Montreal, Quebec, March 12, 2026 – TelcoBridges, today announced the availability of Microsoft Teams Direct Routing on its ProSBC Session Border Controller, allowing service providers to connect Microsoft Teams to the public switched telephone network (PSTN) and existing voice infrastructure.
As Microsoft Teams becomes central to business communications, organizations increasingly need to place and receive calls beyond peer-to-peer Teams users. Supporting external calling requires a Direct Routing solution that bridges Teams with real-world voice networks. ProSBC provides this connection by managing SIP signaling, media compatibility, and call routing between Teams and the PSTN.
To accomplish this, ProSBC acts as the certified Session Border Controller between the Microsoft Teams environment and carrier voice infrastructure — handling SIP normalization, media interworking, and security at the network edge. The solution integrates with existing TelcoBridges deployments and can be activated on current ProSBC systems with minimal infrastructure changes.
