Today, IP Telecom carries approximately 10-percent of all the inbound traffic to El Salvador on its VoIP network using TelcoBridges’ TMG3200 media gateway with SS7 interconnection to all other carriers in El Salvador.

Tmedia gateways provide the functionality we need in a single box, so we won’t have to invest in expensive call routing systems or additional hardware as we scale our business and roll out new services to customers,” said Dannie Baquero, President of IP Telecom.  “TelcoBridges support is another plus.  We find TelcoBridges’ support staff to be extremely responsive; more than just a vendor, they’re trusted advisors, and a key resource for IP Telecom.”

“We met IP Telecom in Miami at an Industry trade show with our reseller partner Pulse, and we’re impressed with the way they’re using our technology to scale their business into new markets,” said Gaetan Campeau, CEO of TelcoBridges.  “IP Telecom is expanding its footprint in El Salvador by providing new services and better international rates than the incumbent carriers, and we’re pleased to see our technology play a role in IP Telecom’s success.”

TelcoBridges Expands Operations in Colombia by Partnering with Metricom

Metricom Helps Two Colombian Carriers Upgrade Legacy Infrastructure
With TelcoBridges’ Media Gateways

Boucherville, Quebec:  April 8, 2013:  TelcoBridges today announced that it is expanding operations in South America through a new partnership with leading Colombian telecommunications reseller Metricom.  TelcoBridges and Metricom also announced the first Tmedia 3200 deployment and 1+1 solution support agreement in Colombia with two of Latin America’s most prominent carriers.

Metricom is a leading supplier of telecommunications equipment and services for fixed and wireless carriers, ISPs, universities and enterprise customers throughout Colombia.  The company specializes in supplying equipment for fiber optic networks, mobile and satellite communications as well as data and signaling technologies.  Acting as TelcoBridges’ reseller in Colombia, Metricom recently helped two of Latin America’s most prominent carriers upgrade their networks with TelcoBridges’ media gateways.

When a prominent Mexican carrier sought to expand into Colombia, they obtained a series of E1s from Colombia’s leading carrier.  In order to provide voice services to customers in rural and municipal areas, they needed to convert older voice protocols such as R2 into VoIP.  To do so, they obtained TelcoBridges’ TMG3200 media gateways from Metricom.

“We were able to help these carriers build out their network and service new municipalities in a straightforward manner using TelcoBridges’ Tmedia gateways,” said Juan Daniel Jimenez, Project Manager of Metricom.  “Tmedia addressed the legacy protocols more effectively than a competitive gateway we evaluated for this installation.  Our efforts with this project demonstrate the value of TelcoBridges’ technology and we’re looking forward to additional Tmedia deployments in the future.”

“Earlier this year, TelcoBridges announced new deployments in Russia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East, and today we’re pleased to announce our expansion into South America through our partnership with Metricom,” said Gaetan Campeau, CEO of TelcoBridges.  “Our gateways provide enormous flexibility when it comes to converting legacy protocols to VoIP, and they also deliver the reliability that large carriers depend upon.”

LANCK Telecom Selects TelcoBridges Tmedia™ Gateways To Carry Voice Traffic around the Globe

Value Added Reseller Pulse Supply Provides TelcoBridges’ Gateways to LANCK

Boucherville, Quebec:  March 25, 2013 – TelcoBridges today announced that LANCK Telecom is using TelcoBridges’ Tmedia gateways to terminate VoIP traffic into local PSTN and GSM networks.

Based in St. Petersburg, Russia, LANCK delivers international voice traffic to more than 190 countries across its own network spanning North America, Europe and Asia.  More than half of the world’s Skype traffic crosses LANCK’s state-of-the-art network, which supports various types of carrier-to-carrier interconnection, such as SS7, ISDN PRI, VoIP-H.323 and VoIP-SIP.  With POP locations in: Frankfurt; Helsinki; Tallinn; Vilnius; London; Paris; Zagreb; Warsaw; Los Angeles; New York; Miami; Singapore; Johannesburg and Hong Kong, the volume of traffic crossing LANCK’s network is rapidly expanding.

LANCK sought an alternative equipment provider to support its growth and expansion.  Training costs and recurring annual maintenance fees from LANCK’s equipment provider were becoming difficult to justify, and the company’s costs were inflated by the need to deploy controllers and other hardware to manage the network.  LANCK selected Pulse Supply to provide TelcoBridges’ high-performance VoIP gateways.

“We supplied LANCK with TelcoBridges’ TMG-3200 STM-1 VoIP gateway for an initial deployment at the core of their network, and LANCK is now adopting the products for its international POPs,” said Michael Banschbach, Vice President of Pulse Supply.  “Tmedia is the right solution for LANCK.  It provides a substantial performance improvement over their previous system, while ensuring 100-percent uptime that LANCK needs to grow its business around the globe.”

With integrated SS7 signaling, the VoIP gateway from TelcoBridges can fulfill the roles of media gateway, signaling gateway and media gateway controller, without the need for additional hardware.  This provides LANCK with an alternative to NGN solutions and offers superior performance and reliability at a lower cost.  Furthermore, the TelcoBridges Tmedia VoIP gateway supports n+1 STM-1 protection and TelcoBridges renowned 24/7 support.

“Pulse Supply and TelcoBridges share a common philosophy when it comes to delivering robust and reliable technology that can be counted on, without exception,” said Konstantin Avdeev, CTO for LANCK Telecom.  “In order to provide our customers with the service, the highest network reliability and the most competitive rates, we continuously test our suppliers in order to find the best solutions available.  We can’t say enough about the value we’ve received from TelcoBridges and Pulse Supply.”

Telecom Solutions Provider Movius Selects TelcoBridges Tmedia Gateways for its CAFÉ Application Suite

Tmedia Helps Movius Provide Social, Local and Mobile Applications
to Carriers and Enterprise Customers around the Globe

Boucherville, Quebec:  February 26, 2013 – TelcoBridges today announced that Movius, a leading telecommunications Solution Provider has selected TelcoBridges’ Tmedia™ VoIP Gateways to support its CAFÉ Communication Applications Framework Engine.

Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Movius helps wireless, wireline, and cable/MSO operators develop a wide range of social, local and mobile telecom applications for their end-users in an affordable, rapid and cloud ready environment.  Movius’ CAFÉ helps local service providers quickly deploy services that are relevant and easy to use, and that help differentiate their offerings from other service providers as well as Over the Top (OTT) providers like Google and Apple.  These applications allow service providers a path to recapture lost revenue from OTT players and level the playing field between them.

Comprehensive telecom solutions typically require specialized hardware for each solution and they often require a long time to market and launch the service.  But Movius’ CAFÉ simplifies the process by bridging telephony with the web, offering a set of pre-built social, local and mobile applications, with a full-featured Applications Development Kit (ADK) to build custom applications, and it provides controlled access to a wealth of operator content and user data.

Movius is leveraging TelcoBridges’ Tmedia gateways to connect their solutions to their customers’ existing telecom infrastructure, to convert TDM links to VoIP, and to provide IP-based solutions such as voice mail that can scale to support millions of subscribers.  Movius is also leveraging TelcoBridges’ 1+1 high-availability solution as well as 24/7 support around the globe.

“The engineers at Movius are technically astute, and they’ve helped to push the boundaries of Tmedia’s capabilities in a manner that further demonstrates the applicability of our gateways for larger Tier-1 carrier networks,” said Gaetan Campeau, CEO of TelcoBridges.

“We’ve selected Tmedia because of its superior performance and its flexibility,” said Amit Modi, Chief Technology Officer for Movius.  “Solutions such as our IP-based voice mail application are used by wireless carriers with millions of subscribers.  The ability to support a high call rate is critical, and the system must always be on, without fail.  For our customers, performance and reliability are not negotiable, and that’s why we’ve chosen to work with TelcoBridges.”
