TelcoBridges Expands Business in France

TelcoBridges’ Tmedia gateway deployed for SS7/Spirou interconnection with tier-1 carrier SFR.

Boucherville, Quebec:  December 28, 2013 – TelcoBridges today announced that it is expanding its business in France through a partnership with reseller IT-Logiq.  IT-Logiq recently sold TelcoBridges’ Tmedia gateways to Paris-based solutions provider Adenis Telecom, who deployed the gateways with Tier One France.  Tier One France used Tmedia’s SS7/Spirou capabilities to connect to SFR. SFR is France’s second largest carrier.

Tier one France is a service aggregator operator providing value-added solutions and services to other operators.  TelcoBridges Tmedia Gateway was used for SS7/Spirou interconnection with SFR in order to setup Orange’s VGA (“Vente en gros d’abonnements”) platform.  These users (“abonnés”) are then redistributed through other operators to their end customers.

To deliver this project, conformity to SS7/Spirou was paramount, and TelcoBridges’ Tmedia gateway was put to the test.

“We were confident that our Tmedia gateway was fully SS7/Spirou compliant”, said Sylvain Fontaine, TelcoBridges Pre-sales Engineer. “This series of SS7/Spirou tests proves our compliance with SS7/Spirou, as well as our ability to easily interconnect with France’s second largest operator/carrier, SFR”.

As Part of its Product Expansion TelcoBridges Reaffirms Policy not to ‘End-Of-Life’ Existing Products

TelcoBridges Media Gateways and Newly Announced Signaling Gateways are being Increasingly Adopted as Replacement Solutions in VoIP and TDM Networks

Boucherville, Quebec:  September 12, 2013 – TelcoBridges today reaffirmed its policy not to discontinue support, or ‘End-of-Life’ its products.  This policy complements the recent expansion of TelcoBridges’ product family, with the introduction of the new Tsig signaling gateways.  At a time when other telecom equipment providers are discontinuing support for legacy products, TelcoBridges is reaffirming its commitment to customers and partners with new solutions, and a guarantee of enduring support for existing products.

By reaffirming its ‘Non-EOL’ policy, TelcoBridges gives customers the confidence they need to deploy technology that not only serves their immediate needs and maximizes their return on investment, but also helps to ensure the control and predictability required to plan out long-term growth strategies.

“As other equipment providers discontinue legacy products and shut down support, we at TelcoBridges realize that our customers, – some of which are among the largest Tier-1 carriers in the world – will always need to maintain 100% control and predictability over their network,” said Gaetan Campeau, CEO of TelcoBridges.  “As such, we would like to reaffirm our commitment to our customers that we will always support them and continue to support our products.”

Since TelcoBridges was founded in 2002, the company has never discontinued any of its products.  Not only has TelcoBridges continued to support each of its products – but it has also invested significantly within the last year to broaden and enhance its training and support offerings.  TelcoBridges is able to offer such continuity by designing for reliability, and by only working with suppliers that also commit to a non-EOL policy.  For more information on TelcoBridges’ philosophy for supporting its products, please visit the Policies section of https://www.telcobridges.com.

TelcoBridges Announces the Tsig Family of Signaling Gateways

Tsig Delivers the Legendary Reliability and Stability of the Tmedia Gateway

as a Targeted Signaling Solution

Boucherville, Quebec:  August 30, 2013 – TelcoBridges today announced the Tsig family of Signaling Gateways.  This new addition to the product portfolio complements the Tmedia family by providing a flexible and scalable signaling gateway designed specifically to meet the signaling requirements of large Tier-1 carriers, agile MNO/MVNO/MVNEs, and everyone in between.

Tsig is designed for network locations where a full media gateway is not required, and is an ideal drop in for existing NGN networks, or for use in new NGN network deployments.  Tsig works as an STP, and is upgradable to a full Tmedia gateway – where it can address the roles of an SSP along with its existing duties as an STP.

Tsig supports SS7, SIGTRAN, ISDN PRI, CAS R2, and T1 CAS, and can be used as a signaling gateway, and/or as a signalling converter to adapt between different networks.

“Our Tmedia gateways have earned the reputation for being the most stable and reliable gateways in the industry, and the new Tsig family focuses Tmedia’s functionality towards offering a dedicated signaling solution for meeting specific customer needs,” said Gaetan Campeau, CEO of TelcoBridges.  “Tsig is a flexible solution that can be upgraded as needs evolve.  Not only can it be remotely upgraded to carry more links, but it can also be upgraded to a full Tmedia gateway to address a wider variety of needs.”

Tsig works in both TDM and IP environments. TelcoBridges offers Tsig in the 800 and 3200 series, to accommodate different sized networks.  All Tsig gateways feature an onboard SS7 stack, making it a standalone solution. Tsig can scale from 1x SS7 link to 64x SS7 signaling links, and units can be remotely upgraded to full capacity without manual intervention.

TelcoBridges and Omtelecomunicaciones (Omtel) Announce Partnership to Serve Carriers and Service Providers throughout Mexico

Equipment Supplied to One of Mexico’s Largest Carriers Illustrates the Flexibility and Reliability of TelcoBridges’ Technology

Boucherville, Quebec:  August 14, 2013:  TelcoBridges today announced a partnership with Omtelecomunicaciones SA de CV (Omtel), a leading telecommunications solutions provider in Mexico.  TelcoBridges also announced that Omtel has completed the supply of TMG3200 media gateways to one of Mexico’s largest carriers.

As a leading solutions provider and reseller of telecommunications solutions, Omtel provides a wide array of services and innovative applications for mobile platforms, such as iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows Phone and others.  Omtel worked with TelcoBridges to help one of Mexico’s largest tier-1 carriers deliver IP to its customers and leverage TelcoBridges’ media gateways to convert IP back into TDM, which enabled each customer to keep their legacy PBX systems.

Although this initial supply involves converting VoIP to TDM for enterprise customers, the carrier using the Tmedia gateways is one of Mexico’s largest tier-1 providers of fixed voice, wireless, TV and internet services for residential customers.  The carrier’s customer base is expansive, so any equipment deployed on their fiber and wireless network must be extremely reliable.

“We evaluated different media gateways for this deployment and we liked Tmedia the best,” states Judith Trujillo Trujillo, Commercial Manager for Omtel.  Not only did TelcoBridges solve the immediate problem, but they also offer the right combination of performance and technical support that tier-1 carriers demand.  Our customer is extremely pleased with the solution, and we believe it will lead to additional deployments throughout Mexico.”

“We’re honored to work with a company like Omtel that is well known and highly respected by the dominant carriers in Mexico,” said Marc St-Onge, Director of Sales Support at TelcoBridges.  “The use of our gateways in this solution illustrates the flexibility of our technology, and we’re looking forward to continued efforts with Omtel to help more of their customers in the future.”

About Omtel:
